Special Entry Passes

Ahobilam is a smaller, forest-set kshetram rather than a temple with large-scale VIP infrastructure — but priority arrangements do exist for pilgrims who need them. Here's what's generally available and how to request it.

Priority, Not Luxury Arrangements focus on comfort & accessibility
Apply On-Site Most requests are handled at the temple office
Subject to Availability Especially during festivals & peak season

Good to know: unlike very large temples such as Tirumala, Ahobilam does not run an extensive online VIP or protocol darshan booking system. Priority arrangements here tend to be simpler and handled directly by temple staff on the day, based on genuine need and availability. Please confirm the current process with the Ahobilam Devasthanam office before your visit, especially if you are planning around a specific date or festival.

Who This Is For

Types of Priority Access

These categories reflect the kind of accommodations most temples in the region extend to pilgrims with genuine need — availability and exact procedure at Ahobilam should be confirmed directly with temple staff.

Senior Citizens

Elderly devotees can request priority entry to avoid long queues and standing, particularly helpful given the steps and inclines around several of the shrines.

Carry age proof such as Aadhaar or a similar photo ID

Differently-Abled Pilgrims

Assistance and priority access are generally extended to differently-abled visitors. See our dedicated wheelchair assistance page for more on physical accessibility around the temple.

A valid disability certificate helps speed up assistance

Pregnant Women & Families with Infants

Pilgrims travelling with infants or during pregnancy can request priority entry, given the standing time in queues and the physical demands of the site.

Simply inform staff at the entrance of your need

NRIs & Foreign Nationals

Devotees visiting from abroad, often on a tight travel schedule, can seek guidance from temple staff on managing darshan and the Nava Narasimha trek efficiently within limited time.

Carry your passport for identification if requested

Group Pilgrimages

Devotee groups and organized tours can coordinate with the temple office in advance for smoother movement through darshan, especially for larger parties visiting multiple shrines in a day.

Share your group size and itinerary in advance

Protocol & Official Visits

As with most major temples, government officials, dignitaries, and organized institutional visits are handled through protocol arrangements coordinated directly with the temple administration.

Requires advance written request to the Devasthanam
